Alexander PAVLYUCHENKOV, violoncelle

Born in St. Petersburg into a family of musicians. At the age of 7 he began his first musical notes on the cello.

He completed his bachelor’s degree at the Oviedo Conservatory with Prof. Viguen Sarkissov and later two master’s degrees in Belgium with Prof. David Cohen and Prof. Han Bin Yoon.

Alexander divides his work between Solo, Ensembles and Orchestras, being invited by orchestras such as the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) and the Brussels Cello Festival Cello Orchestra (BCF).  He has also been invited to play at festivals such as the Quincena Musical (San Sebastian) and the Orvieto Musica (Italy). To date, Alexander is an active member and solo cellist of the ensemble (Cappella Conventi).

The instrument Alexander plays is a French « Mirecourt » cello dated 1855 by the prestigious luthier H. Derazey.
